PRIVACY NOTICE

Plain English about how enquiry information is used.

This notice is for a parent or guardian who contacts MC Tutoring Group about online GCSE tuition. It does not replace the separate Safeguarding page.

Privacy question: mctutoringgroup@gmail.com

Who is responsible for your information?

Malcolm Charangwa, operating as MC Tutoring Group, is the data controller for information collected through this website, the Calendly booking page and email. Contact: mctutoringgroup@gmail.com.

What I collect

A parent or guardian’s name, email address and phone number; the student’s first name, school year, subjects, current level, targets, availability and the information needed to respond to an enquiry or arrange tuition.

Why I use it and the lawful basis

I use this information to reply to an enquiry, assess whether I have a suitable place and take steps towards a tutoring agreement. The lawful bases are legitimate interests, namely running and responding to enquiries for the service, and steps taken at a parent or guardian’s request before a contract is agreed.

Who handles it

I use Calendly to offer Parent Enquiry Call bookings, Gmail to manage enquiries and Microsoft Teams to deliver online lessons. These suppliers may process information outside the UK; their own privacy information explains their safeguards. I do not sell personal information or use it for unrelated marketing.

How long I keep it

Unsuccessful enquiries are reviewed and deleted six months after the last contact. For families who start tuition, I keep only the contact, booking and progress details needed during the arrangement and for six months after the final lesson, unless I need to retain something for a legal reason.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your information, or object to processing. Email me first and I will respond. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
